Résumé
L'Allemagne attaque la Pologne le 1er septembre 1939. La Seconde Guerre mondiale commence. Pour Edith Wellspacher, l'Anschluss est un choc. Max son compagnon, dont elle attend un enfant, est interné à Dachau. Elle demande alors à son amant proche des nazis de procéder à un avortement illégal.
